Finally
Blogging, I read online, is gagging the Internet. Millions of people spewing rants and drivel and ass-scratching and posting them for all the wired world to see can't be good for anyone, not even the blog typers themselves, can it?
I mean, have you read these damn things?
Well, I hereby contribute to the noise. This will almost certainly be an interim blog, with the idea of publishing a podcast as well. I need to work on the mechanics of doing this with the purpose of building a better and more polished podcast in future.
There is a large part of me that doesn't understand the blog phenomenon, the quick daily posts and links that seem to form a large percentage of blogs, or at least the blogs I've been able to find. The whole of the "blogosphere" (as bad a coinage as I can think of) is so monstrous in size that I don't really understand how anything can get noticed. The blogs, the comments, the posts to boards - it's doubtful I will ever quite get it. But I can blog and podcast, and so I shall.
This is a painful time for me, because I lost my job about two months ago, and so I spend a good part of each day trying to find another job without all a college degree. But I will find a decent job, because the most important thing in my life is moving forward.
Too much information, and enough for today.
